Installation – Tomcat

Step 1: Install CA Certificate
Secure Site
If you are installing a Secure Site Certificate, you need to first install the Secure Site Intermediate CA Certificate.
Secure Site Pro
If you are installing a Secure Site Pro Certificate, you need to first install the Secure Site Pro Intermediate CA Certificate.
Save as: intermediateCA.cer
Use the following command to import the Intermediate CA Certificate:
keytool -import -alias intermediateCA -keystore -trustcacerts -file intermediateCA.cer
NOTE: The alias name, “intermediateCA” in this command is different than the alias name used during the generation of the private key and CSR.
Step 2: Install the SSL Certificate
VeriSign will email you your certificate. If the certificate is an attachment (Cert.cer), you can use the file. If the certificate is in the body of the email, copy and paste it into a text file using Vi or Notepad. Do not use Microsoft Word or other word processing programs that may add characters.
Enter the following command to import your SSL Certificate:
keytool -import -alias -keystore -trustcacerts -file
NOTE: The alias name in this command must be the same as the alias name used during the generation of the private key and CSR.
Once the certificates are imported into the keystore, configure your server.xml to enable SSL: SO5306
