Installation – Lotus Domino 8

This document provides instructions for installing SSL Certificates. If you are unable to use these instructions for your server, VeriSign recommends that you contact either the vendor of your software or an organization that supports Domino 8.

Step 1: Install CA Certificate (Merge a CA certificate as a trusted root)

Secure Site
If you are installing a Secure Site Certificate, you need to first install the Secure Site Intermediate CA Certificate

Secure Site Pro
If you are installing a Secure Site Pro Certificate, you need to first install the Secure Site Pro Intermediate CA Certificate

1. From the Lotus Notes client, open the Server Certificate Admin application

2. Click Install Trusted Root Certificate into Key Ring

3. Enter the name of the key ring file that will store this certificate. You specified this name when you created the server certificate request

4. Enter the name that the key ring file will use to identify this certificate. If you leave this field blank, Domino uses the distinguished name of the certificate

5. If you have the CA certificate in the clipboard, choose Clipboard in the Certificate Source field else detach the file to your hard drive and select File in the Certificate Source field. Enter the file name in the File name field

6. Click Merge Trusted Root Certificate into Key Ring

7. Enter the password for the key ring file, and then click OK

Step 2: Merging a server certificate into the key ring file

1. From the Lotus Notes client, open the Server Certificate Admin application

2. Click Install Certificate into Key Ring

3. Enter the file name for the key ring that will store this certificate. You created this key ring file when you created the Certificate Signing Request

4. If you have the certificate in the clipboard, choose Clipboard in the Certificate Source field else detach the file to your hard drive and select File in the Certificate Source field. Enter the file name in the File name field

5. Click Merge Certificate into Key Ring

6. Enter the password for the server key ring file, and then click OK to approve the merge
